  • 1 tablespoon(s) pure maple syrup or brown sugar (or try honey)
  • 2 tablespoon(s) red-wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon(s) extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
  • Freshly ground pepper to taste
  • 3 cup(s) baby romaine lettuce
  • 3 cups(s) baby spinach
  • 2 1/2 cup(s) (about 12 ounces) sliced fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup of fresh blueberries
  • 1/3 cup(s) fresh chives, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup(s) toasted chopped pecans (see Tips & Techniques)
  • 1/4 cup(s) crumbled goat cheese
Whisk maple syrup (or brown sugar), vinegar, oil, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Add romaine lettuce, spinach, blueberries, strawberries, blueberries, and chives; toss to coat. Divide the salad among 4 plates and top with pecans and goat cheese. Add grilled chicken for more protein!
