• 1.5 c sifted flour
  • 2 TBL baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c shortening
  • 1 c butter milk
  • 2 c mashed sweet potato
  • pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg

Sift dry ingredients and cut with shortening. Combine butter milk and sweet potato and add to dry mixture. Mix until dough forms. Roll out on floured board. Cut biscuits and placed on greased or non stick pan. Bake at 425 for 12-14 minutes.
