  • 2lbs cooked green beans
  • 1c chopped mushrooms
  • ½ c chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 stick butter
  • 3TBL flour
  • 1c chicken or vegetable stock
  • 1c milk
  • ¼ c sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Sauté onions, mushroom, garlic in butter about 3-4 minutes or until cooked. Stir in flour for 2-4 minutes. Meanwhile, bring vegetable or chicken stock to a boil. Add boiling stock to mushroom/garlic mixture. Stir and return to boil until mixture thickens. Add milk and sour cream. Salt and pepper to taste. Place cooked green beans in a casserole dish. Pour mixture over beans. Cook at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and add top with crispy fried onions.
